Empowering people to tackle cancer and take up screenings across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Powys.

Adam Fejfer

When I was 19, I lost my mum. She died from sepsis after an operation. She only had the operation because we found out late that she had pancreatic cancer, which had already spread to her stomach and part of her liver and surrounding tissues.

As a family, we should have been more aware of the early signs and symptoms that our mum had. But we were young, not aware and also in denial about anything that might happen to our family.

I still remember when we received the phone call from the hospital that my mum had died and I would like to help other people to avoid that experience.
